Did you know MRCI publishes a new Special Historical Report each month focused on the markets you trade most? This month’s release—available in early May 2026—is the 2026 Seasonal Softs Report, featuring Coffee, Cocoa, Cotton, Sugar, and Rice.
Inside: seasonal charts with win rates, inter- and intra-market spreads, cash market relationships, and clean bull/bear trend signals. No fluff—just the data and setups you need to align your book with proven calendar tendencies instead of guessing.
At the end of 2025, softs showed clear divergence after 2024's extremes: cocoa corrected sharply from its record run, closing near the mid-$5,000s–$6,000s per ton amid improved West African supplies and demand destruction; coffee eased from early-year peaks near all-time highs as Brazilian and robusta output expanded; sugar dropped to four-year lows around 14–17 cents per pound on bumper global production; cotton stayed range-bound with modest pressure; and rough rice held relatively steady amid ample Asian supplies. These resets make the 2026 seasonal roadmap even more critical for positioning ahead of the next cycle.
If you trade or hedge soft commodities, this is the practical reference that stays on your desk all year.
